As my regular visitors and friends will know, I went over to Scotland in June to visit my Dad, who was ill. He improved while I was there and I hoped that the improvement would continue. However, I got a call from my younger brother on Wednesday (first day at my new job) to tell me that Dad had been taken into hospital again and was not expected to pull through. Yesterday at 6 a.m. my older brother called to let me know that Dad had passed away. He slipped away peacefully and, as far as we know, not in any pain.
I'll be flying to Scotland on Monday and staying untl the following Wednesday. Obviously updating the blog is not high on my list of priorities right now, but I did want to let you know that I'll get back into when I get back to Pensacola.
